The expected DCAS system, developed by the copyright administration of Chongqing city and Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunication, was unveiled in late August in Chongqing.

This new technology, that offers application for copyrights, evaluation, protection, management and trading, enables Chinese residents to file free copyright applications at home thanks to an online registration system, even for works in progress.

Indeed, an author does not have to wait the completion of his entire work. Now, the author can upload the beginning of his work to the DCAS system to generate a record.

Thank to this groundbreaking system, an author will be able to prove that he is the creator, even if his work is incomplete.

The system could be used for copyrights on articles, music, photographs, artwork, software, etc.
