China is a member of Berne Convention, Universal Convention and other  major  international treaties. The current Copyright Law was amended in  2002.

Optionally, copyright works can be recorded with Copyright authorities for being  used  as evidences for future dispute resolution and licensing. Certain  categories of  copyright agreements are required by the law to be submitted to  authorities for  approval before taking effective.
